hospital volunteer in ICC’s DOU: definitive observation unit
we’d always go around asking patients if there’s anything we could do for them.
and there’s been this high maintenance patient, we shall call her mrs. c.she cracks me up.

so today her requests started with
1. coke
2. cheetos
but since she was on a salt diet, we weren’t able to give her cheetos.
well we got her graham crackers instead.
(do you know how far the damn kitchen is? its on another floor =.=)

we told her…
“they ran out of cheetos, so we got you these instead”
of course she didn’t want it.   
“oh are there fritos then?”
cindy: pretending to be clueless “what are fritos?”
janet: not knowing “oh there’re these strips of chips…”
janet: “well what if they ran out of fritos too?”
mrs c: “then i’d like doritos cheddar cheese please. thank you girls”

so we went to the our nursing station.
the nurse cracked up after we told her what had happened.
and told us to tell her that she’s on a salt diet, but she can have cookies instead.

mrs. c “but i need the salt… if i dont have salt, i will die. do you beautiful girls want me to die? you don’t right?”
(actually at the moment, i kind of wished she did. LOL)

so well, we ended up getting her cookies.
and she asked for milk when that was delivered.
and then she asked for more cookies, after taking a bite out of her chocolate chip cookies.
